After receiving a B.S. in Marketing and Communications from Drexel University, I started at a Digital Marketing agency with a focus on project management. Even though I had been blogging for several years about fashion and music, I didn’t discover my love for social marketing until several months into working as a project manager. I switched paths slightly and began working as a content manager for big consumer brands such as Black & Decker and Airborne Effervescence. What I connected with most about social media marketing and content managing was the direct connection to the end consumers. It amazed me that a consumer could personally connect with a massive, and previously faceless brand.
I spent several years working for big brands at a digital marketing agency in Philadelphia, PA, where I had grown up and gone to college, then I had the chance to move across the country to Denver, CO. With no job, in a new city and an opportunity to start over, I not only found a Social Media Marketing job working for award-winning jewelry designer Todd Reed, but also my passion for jewelry. I grew within the company and the jewelry industry throughout my four years at Todd Reed. During my time there I learned many aspects of the fine jewelry industry including public relations, advertising, sales and trade shows, all while also being front row to the design and making process. It was an incredible experience, but I saw a bigger opportunity to help emerging designers.
In 2016 I began consulting upcoming jewelry designers and curating trade shows including the New Designer Gallery at JA New York and a designer section at PREMIER. My passion for jewelry continues to grow.
